Israel Continues to Victimize Palestine, Still Complaining about Pressure From U.N.

For more than two weeks now, Israel has been blocking any aid, including food and medical supplies, into the Gaza Strip, ratcheting up the mortally dangerous state of profound starvation and illness. Because of the continuing oppression of Palestine by Israel, the Palestinian people are not in a position to gain self-sufficiency in food production and development of medicines. So when the U.N. attempts to send aid, one would expect these supplies of food, medicine, and even fuel, to reach Gaza. Yet, Israel has been keeping the crossing points closed, officially citing Hamas rocket attacks as the reason, even falsely claiming those attacks to be too continuous to safely allow any crossing...even for aid.
Yesterday, according to this AFP article, 33 trucks were allowed access to Gaza, bearing a scant few days of supplies. Pressure from the United Nations is credited with this small victory, though it's obviously a reaction to potential negative publicity for Israel, not humanitarian reasons. And at this point, there's no way to know whether Israel will allow the next shipment of supplies into Gaza, or continue the "collective punishment" of an entire nation as inhuman retaliation for spurious rocket attacks by small factions within Gaza...who are simply reacting to Israel's constant U.S. backed terrorism. Of course, Israeli Press is responding to this in the usual fashion (read: indirectly), making Israel out to be the "victim" of the United Nations once again...by slanted articles regarding the United Nations General Assembly's promotion of International Day of Solidarity with Palestine (November 29), such as this story in Israel's Ha'aretz.
The Mainstream Media, being controlled by Corporations and Financial giants with Israeli interests, will not carry these reports to the masses in the United States or citizens of other Western nations. It's up to us to continue getting this information out. Spread the word!
